HONORING VETERANS

A moment of gratitude. A tradition of respect. A community united.

Each year, the Luling Watermelon Thump Association proudly honors our Veterans and active duty members of the Armed Forces in a heartfelt ceremony of remembrance. Beginning in 2002, former board member Delane Bassett proposed the idea of saluting our men and women in uniform, and the event has taken place every year since. What began as a meaningful tribute has grown into one of the premier attractions of our Sunday slate of activities and one of the most cherished moments of Thump weekend.

Join us at 2:30 PM on Sunday under the Thump Pavilion as we pause to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and service of the men and women who have defended our freedoms. It is a moving and well-deserved tribute that brings our community together in appreciation and pride.
