Lil’ Growers Registration

Plant a seed. Grow a dream. Celebrate the next generation.

The Lil’ Growers program invites children ages 1–14 to take part in one of the most fun and rewarding traditions of the Luling Watermelon Thump. Participants receive an official seed packet, grow their watermelon throughout the spring, share progress photos, and bring their melon to Thump weekend for judging and celebration.

On Sunday under the Thump Pavilion, young growers are recognized for their efforts with awards for showmanship and the heaviest melons in each age group.

Best of all, participation is completely FREE.
