Victoria Reyes

Hello, I’m Victoria Reyes,
I’m so excited to be running for the 73rd Watermelon Thump Queen! Being part of this small-town tradition means so much to me because It’s all about our town, our friends, and making happy memories together.
I stay busy as captain of the Varsity cheer team, a member of the tennis team, LHS band, color guard, and athletic training. I also compete in Stars Vipers competitive cheer out of Schertz! Outside of school, ve loved coaching for LYBA, volunteering with Luling Little League and the ACE program, and working at Camp Fun Zone. After high school, I plan to further my education in nursing.
The Luling Watermelon Thump is more than afestival; it’s a symbol of our town’s pride, community spirit, and history. It’s honestly one of the sweetest parts of growing up in Luling! It’s not just about watermelons (though those giant slices are the best)—it’s about the whole town coming together.
I would love to be Watermelon Thump Queen because I love Luling and everything our town stands for. Growing up here, I’ve loved cheering, playing sports, helping the youth, and being part of our amazing community. Being Thump Queen would let me share that love, make people smile, and celebrate the traditions that make Luling so special. I’m a confident and caring leader who loves bringing people together and would be honored to represent our town as the 73rd Watermelon Thump Queen!
